Email Spammers have cost my Friend $3500.00

Ok...Lets say they played a 90 percent part of it.

One of my friends bought a raffle ticket about 3 months ago. It was for a charity and he gave them 20 bucks and his Email address.
Just one of those things we do to (maybe) help someone. He didn't think very much about it.
He came across the ticket yesterday and decided to see if he had won one of the 6 prizes. Called up the people and WOW!...he had won
3500 bucks BUT they had given the prize to an alternate winner when he never answered his Email....after 2 weeks.
(they had tried to contact him 3 times)

We figured out what happened. He had automatically deleted those $%^%# Emails that say "YOU HAVE WON $XXXX.00!!!!!!"

He's Sick and royally pissed off...both at himself and Spammers.
I told him: "Aw..don't blame yourself...we are so trained to delete all that bullshit that comes across our email and also, I would have probably done the same thing.

Geez.... :(
