and I didn't tell him. He is now drinking it, and the cat is licking his butt. Hopefully the cat didn't lick his butt before hand as well.

Just to clarify: the cat is licking its own butt, not my husband's butt.

2. LOL
I woke up one night to find The Lovely and Talented Pippy Cat drinking from a mug of water on my nightstand. I have no idea how long that had been going on, and frankly, I'd prefer to keep it that way!

6. My cat does that all the time. I could never leave water by my
bedside, as I would wake up with him slurping away.
My cat thinks the water tastes better out of my glass.

8. You know you are in the Lounge when...
You actually have to type out the disclaimer:

"Just to clarify: the cat is licking its own butt, not my husband's butt."

My cat drinks my Dr Pepper, then burps. I try not to remember that she licks her butt with that tongue or at least hope the acid in the Dr Pepper will kill some germs, beyond hope.

12. More to the point would be the problem of a caffeinated cat at night...
mine also likes coffee around midnight. If I don't stop her the results can be disastrous.

I think it's the milk she's after.

13. One of our cats does that.
They both stick their noses in my water glass all the time. The other one likes to stick her whole muzzle in my mouth, they both put their lips on mine when I request a kiss. Trained them to do that last one. It doesn't bother me at all.

14. Solution to the cat drinking out of your glass or cup
Take a bottle of water to bed, put coffee in one of those coffee containers that have a lip. If the cat licks the openings you can use sanitizers.
