I have a new kitteh!

They found this little sweetheart this morning outside the front door of the retirement community where I work. At first I didn't want to see her but then I was very depressed and needed some kitteh love. I was hooked as soon as I saw her and called the hubband to make sure it was okay.

I will take pics tonight when we get home but I couldn't wait to tell you all.

Her name is Lilya.

Sorry it took us so long. We marched right in the house, went straight to the kitchen sink and had a bath and then flea combed really, really good. We just got over a major flea infestation here and she was crawling with them! :wow:

I think she looks part tortie, part tiger, and part Maine Coon. She is not feral in the slightest. She loves people and is very cuddly. Loves to play with things. She found the litter box on her own and did both number one and two.


Anyway, here she is making her DU debut!

We've had a very exciting and tiring day!








As you can see, the cats have torn the paper on my homemade shutters. This is the west window and the sun is so intense through it that I'm still trying to decide how I should upholster them and what kind of fabric will stand up to this kind of sun. Believe it or not, this brown craft paper holds up to the sun beautifully, just not the cats. LOL

She is a real delight! After her nap she got up and went exploring. She found the scratcher with the track ball along the outside and is having a real blast! She took to it right away and has been at it now for a really long time. LOL
