Actor Jason Patric, whose roles include the upcoming movie "The Alamo," was arrested and charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest early Monday near the intersection of Fifth and Colorado streets.

He was released from the Travis County Jail around 8:30 a.m., six hours after his arrest.

According to an affidavit, two Austin police officers approached Patric and a group of people in an intersection to ask them to move so traffic could pass. Patric moved slowly and was mocking one of the officers, the affidavit says.
