Poll question: Lets Say You Haven't Eaten In Days, You're Moments From Starving....
You've been wandering out in the woods for what seems like ages, and you finally find a clearing and get back to the highway.

The highway takes you to a rest stop and at the rest stop are four fast food places.

You are absolutely starving. You are going to eat at one of these places.

The fast food resturants are:

McDonalds
Roy Rogers
Burger King
Wendys

Which do you eat at?

(and no, I'm not including an option for 'neither' - you MUST eat at this rest stop)

1. Wendy's!
Of the three I am familiar with (no Roy Rogers here), Wendy's is the highest quality. Then BK, then McD's!

2. Burger King...
and I'll get the biggest, juiciest, flame-broiled Whopper I can order and get with it a side of the largest onion rings and french fries one can get.

Then give me a pack of Tums.

13. My mom wants a frosty when she's on her death bed
She has told me that for years. It's her favorite food in the world!

21. It must be something geriatric ... my 84-year-old mother has the same
... addiction. I've had them and notice nothing special.

24. well, um....not sure if 55 is geriatric!
and she's been saying it for about 15 years now! I think they're pretty good too...but not sure if they qualify as death-bed-kind-of good. I would probably rather have a Blizzard from Dairy Queen :-)

26. Hey, I'm Only 52!
That is a long way from geriatric! Besides that, I intend to live so long that people will pass by my house shaking their heads and wondering, "ain't she ever gonna die?"

29. Well, just call me Jerry Atrick ...
... since I'm older than your mom. If I'm going after something like that, the LAST places I'd stop would be WendyMcRoyBurger. I'll go to my local mom'n'pop for a Brown Cow (Vernor's and Ice Cream) for sure.

As far as a hamburger ... when I was a kid cruising Woodward, Ted's Drive In (now gone) was the best burger in the country. It can still be gotten at Duggan's Pub (a local watering hole) and it's still better than anything from the third-degree-burn-cholesterol-outlets.

11. Roy Rogers is closer to Burger King than anything else
Grilled, not fried hamburgers. French fries similar in size and taste to Wendys.

Really good chicken.

Excellent breakfast menu.

The only place I ever see them now is along the rest stops in New Jersey.

Oh, and there's also one out east on Long Island...the last RR left in NY I believe.

9. Burger King
Read Fast Food Nation -- the only 'restaurants' he gives a go-ahead sign for are BK and, especially, In-N-Out. (That's a West Coast chain, I believe, but it's well known for its quality and how well its workers are treated.)

15. Well, if we're beyond the four allowed us in the poll, my favorite ...
fast food place: Bionic Burger. I get the buffalo burger combo, with their wonderful, greasy fries.

10. Here's a tip. If you are ever almost starving (like after a long fast)...
...and you foolishly decide to break your fast with a greasy, prion burger, I can pretty much guarantee that you will barf it up shortly after you eat it.

Start with an order of fries or hash browns first before you hit the prion burgers.

Trust me on this.

one may fail to vomit up the burget -- then one's really in trouble.

20. Good point
Eat the burger first, barf it up, then go ahead and eat the fries. Slowly.

14. Wendy's, because ...
it has a variety of potato options, in addition to burgers (and fries).

But Roy Rogers at least has different forms of mad-cow sandwiches than burgers. I just avoid it because of the cowboy theme -- well, that and the food.

19. Around here it used to be
Pappy Parkers Chicken, served at the Roy's.

Hardee's bought them at some point and converted a bunch of RR into Hardee's and all but went bust 'cause noone around here would eat at Hardee's they would go WELL out of there way to get to one of the few that had not been converted or were independently owned. Sadly, much like new Coke, this scheme was the ultimate demise and RR's are sadly disapearing from the Earth.

I miss the old Large (they only have oine size now) Hot Roast Beef with Cheese ... yum .... then being able to put your own toppings on from that tiny little salad bar! Never drive through a RR's. Gop inside so you can put fifteen pickle slices on your burger! If you feel like it of course.

23. I know you may all thing less of me
but I would choose Arby's over all of those (Wendy's though is a close second). I love their beef n' cheddar sandwiches. Too bad that every Arby's I have been to has the worst service imaginable.

25. No Matter WHAT I eat from Wendy's I ALWAYS have a bad lower
gastric reaction.

EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Serious and rumbling distruptions and eruptions.

Which means their food prep SUCKS and there is cross contamination.
