My employer provides us with a full-sized refrigerator, but no ice
Edited on Tue Mar-30-04 12:45 PM by rocknation
I got fed up with having to buy cold drinks that were actually cold, so I sprang for a couple of ice cube trays. Despite exhaustive research on the Internet, however, I cannot find a recipie for ice cubes. If I was at home, I'd consider winging it since I'd be the only one using them. But this is my workplace--what if they come out over- or under-cooked, or if they fell because somebody stomped on the floor? It could mean career suicide!

2. Just buy a bag of ready-made ones
Don't worry about the recipe, you can't make them as good yourself anyway.

because when I put them in the refrigerator to thaw, they spoil because I can use them all.

9. Awww, what do I know anyway
I just push the thingy on my fridge and get all the little ice crescents I want. It's easy to get spoiled.

7. I think all you need to do is poor clear liquid in those plastic thingy's
maybe vodka? I don't know, I've never made ice before but I have a vague recollection of watching someone make it before.

14. I think you might be a former roommate of mine.
None of them could ever quite master the skill. They, to a one, would use all the ice except for one cube. That way, none of them ever had to embark on the mysterious and hazardous journey that is making ice.

I now live with people who go to great lengths to not ever use the last square of toilet paper. Evidently, changing the toilet paper roll is equally perplexing and complicated.

8. Yes, and many prefab ice cubes are made with dihydrogen monoxide,
Edited on Tue Mar-30-04 01:40 PM by elperromagico
a dangerous chemical which has been responsible for the erosion of much terra firma in the last billion or so years.

Dihydrogen monoxide withdrawal often results in death in a matter of days, and countless individuals have ODed on it in the past centuries.

You can read more about the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide here: http://www.dhmo.org/facts.html

12. Dihydrogen monoxide--Yikes!
Thanks you so much for directing me to this very important site--I'll make very that sure MY ice cubes never touch the stuff! You may not have only saved my career, but the very lives of my co-workers! Thanks again!
