If so, what resolution are you getting? I need a larger monitor, but one that can display the text in the same size as my little one--I want to see MORE stuff, not the same stuff but bigger.

It's not easy to read from across the room, but I can see how it would make a good monitor at 2' or 3' distance.

5. I have a 26" LCD TV set up as a secondary monitor for watching mvies and shit, but... |
|
And LCD TV of that size (and 32") will generally be 720P, which means you're probably not gonna get the same resolution as say even a 22" or 24" monitor. At least not in my experience.

6. Ain't gonna happen-- the best you'll get is 1080P and... |
|
bigger pixels, not more of them. 1980x1080 resolution is as high as they go until the next burst of LCD technology bursts through.
The aggravating thing is that some of the old CRT monitors had much higher resolutions-- I had a 20" one that went up to over 2500xsomething or other.

7. 1080P would be a must. |
|
Even at 1080P, the pixels would be somewhat large and you'll have a lower DPI than a typical monitor. I used a 28" monitor (Hanns G) which had a 1920x1200 resolution and even at that size, I found things to be easier on my eyes with my old 24" CRT which supports up to 2560x1600.

I have it set at 2560 x 1440. Obviously that's different from linking to an actual TV, though

9. I am using a 24" monitor/TV 1080P quality by Samsung as my prime |
|
We have a PC hooked up to the 32" in the living room, but to READ anything from the couch you have to make resolution 1280x1024. We use it for on-line gaming and Netflix streaming.

|
as a monitor as well using an 8 year old pc. I can read things just fine from about 5 feet away.

14. I have a 24" Acer widescreen that I'm using at full 1080p. |
|
I'm personally looking to get a Vizio 42" monitor that I will use almost exclusively as a computer monitor.
