Computer graphics still don't compare in close-up scenes.

It's fine for big shots but you need the splatter-fx for the grunt work.

11. I ended up watching Dead Set on IFC.

It's a mini-series about a zombie takeover during the taping of the Brit version of Big Brother. The cast are trapped on the set of the show, and it goes from there. But it's English, so yeah, muted colors and fast zombies. But I love it when the Brits start yelling and cussing each other out in those cool accents.

Some very powerful emotional stuff going on there in what's looking to be a fantastically well written and produced series. (I'm talking about the zombie that was dragging itself across that field. I almost teared up a little)...

If they can keep that heart, make you feel for the characters, this show should survive a lot longer than the usual "gimmick" shows.
