I think I turned three persuadables today to our Democratic ticket. I know I got two for sure.
But I found an unregistered Democrat that I could have helped. He moved out of my precinct, but I could have taken care of things for him, and I am kicking myself. Every vote counts in a red county like this one.
We have dumb people, too. Yesterday, one lady asked me what to do if she wanted to vote for the republican county sheriff candidate. She said, "Well now that I am a Democrat, don't I have to ask for a Democratic ballot? I did that last time, like you told me to." I had to explain the difference between voting in the primary and the general.
Her daughter was excited about voting for the first time, but she did not know who to vote for. I hope things go all right at the polls for them. I told them not to hesitate about asking for help if they needed it. I called a few people, and reminded them to vote today.
There is a party I could go to, but I think I will stay home and watch the returns. My husband just left for work.
We need Alexi and Quinn in this state. GOTV everyone!
