4. Well, to be fair, I DID challenge a 6' Norwegian to a sprint race while wasted (Read on).

This was April of '85, about 4 months after I met my wife-to-be. She was visiting and I held a "FUCK THAT COMPANY" party because I was changing jobs. Said Norwegian did run 10 miles a day. I shared a rather large office with him. I was totally shitfaced six-ways to Sunday (is that right?), stoned all to Jesus, and could barely stand up, but I challenged him to a sprint. My girlfriend (wife) watched as I took two steps and did a face splat into the asphalt. Said Norwegian was already at the end of the block.

She cleaned me up and bandaged me and I started my new job Monday morning with a big-ass bandage on my face (and one on my shoulder nobody could see). For some reason beyond my comprehension, she decided to stay with me and we've been together 26 years now.
