I just got off the phone with the world's best customer service folks - Redbox
I swear I about passed out with how useful their helpdesk was.

Problem: About 2 weeks ago I returned 2 videos and I guess I should have checked the boxes because the one was empty. With the elections it was a bit cluttered around my entertainment center so two night when I was putting away a few discs that were stacked I found the Blueray Disc for "Date Night" that I guess I didn't put into the box. (Btw not that great of a movie).

To make matters worse I found that I had a $38 charge on my debit card to Redbox, I guess they were charging me for non-return of the disc.

So I called up the 800#. First thing I noticed - it was real easy to get to a live person. Second thing I noticed, their help desk isn't offshored. The guy was so helpful and agreeable. He told me how to get a replacement case so I could return the disc and said he would have the entire $38 charge removed once the disc was returned (about 3-6 business days for the money to be put back into my account). He even gave me a tracking number so I could find out whether or not I had put one of my own discs in the box.

All these other businesses need to learn that when you have someone live you can talk to and someone who isn't just reciting a script - it makes the world of difference with customer service.

I know I will continue to use Redbox just because their customer service is so helpful.

1. They took the Redbox out of our local store and replaced it with a "Blockbuster" box.
Glad to hear that you had a good experience with them!

2. Ugh, I don't like the Blockbuster one - but redboxes are everywhere
I mean I have like 5 stores within a 5 mile radius with Redbox. Check their website - maybe another location has redbox.

4. I didn't know Blockbuster had boxes now.
When did that start?
