True, it doesn't get into you head quite the way the old one does, but Leatherface is a whole lot better in the new one. In the old one, he's pretty much a sissy man-child, in this one, he's 100% pure unadulterated evil(like Jerry Falwell). And Leatherface's family is also alot better. However, that's not too say I don't like the old one. I got both today at Best Buy and the new one is a great dvd. Oh, and if you get the deluxe edition at Best Buy, you get the old TCM free!! How cool is that?

1. Leatherface was better in the second one
But the first one was better in my opinion. I wanna know if the new Dawn of the Dead is better than the first.:wow:

2. I hear it is
Although I have yet to see it. And yes, Leatherface kicked(chainsawed?) ass in the remake.

3. The new DOTD is great but I wouldn't say "better"...
It's got just a hair too many action movie elements to it. But overall it was a super entertaining flick with lots of good zombie action, gore and cool, inventive visual scenes.

The remake of TX chainsaw was good and definitely amped up. But it was much more sadistic in it's explicit visuals than the original was, which was suprisingly gore free. Without the whole creepy old grandfather scene that the original had, something was missing.

The DOTD remake is a movie I could see myself watching again or possibly owning. The remake of TCM....not so much.
