Highland Park porn shop sells $128.6M Powerball ticket

Highland Park— The primarily male crowd was brisk today at the Uptown Book Store — the porn shop that sold the $128.6 million lottery ticket Saturday evening.

As word spread about the winnings, interest at the porn shop on Woodward and Six Mile with the words "Adult Entertainment" and "Latest XXX Movies" on the side of the building began to spark.

A curious Justice Mitchell, 63, swung by with his brother around 1 p.m. to the lottery sale window on the outside of the building a couple of steps from the bus stop where the tickets are sold because he had to find out if it was true.

"That's a good thing because usually it don't happen here," said Mitchell, lamenting that the winners usually come from the suburbs.
