The blue showing through all that glowing red (and red, is of course, far too simple a word for it) is astonishing.
I like the little cats eye lights near the bottom too.

Yeah, it was a lucky shot! We had been coming home from a musical recital at a nearby church, and I'd spotted it from the car.

And it was just getting better and better, and even though I had recently done a sunset pic, I knew I'd be sorry if I didn't get this one, and several others...

27. I remember sunsets like that when I lived on the edge of Death Valley...

years ago. A lot of people(myself included) would gather with lawnchairs near sunset and watch the nightly event. It was pretty cool.
