Badlands National Park of South Dakota
Edited on Sun Nov-07-10 09:28 PM by jdp349
If you haven't been there you must go. Sections of it look like the surface of mars and just over the cliffs towering in front of you are seemingly endless grasslands full of buffalo, prairie dogs, big horn sheep and coyotes. I saw so much wildlife in my time there that towards the end it seemed almost mundane!

My favorite shot I got from the trip, I thought it was rather dramatic.

1. ...........
As man emerges from the bowels of the earth,
he gazes in all directions, and wonders of
his place and purpose in this world.

5. We saw all of that plus the Badlands on the drive back to La Crosse, WI.
It was a nice finish to the trip.

7. Been there many many times
I've been going there once or twice a year for many years. My son and I pitch a tent at our favorite spot in the park and camp for 3 or 4 days.
