Just saw an ex-girlfriend's profile on LinkedIn. She's now a blonde.

Quite a shock...It's been about 15 years. She used to have dark brown hair and at one point she cut it pretty short, and she's let it grow out, and she's gorgeous. Now it's blonde but the darker roots are visible. It's not just the blonde hair, this looks like a transformation / reinvention. There's an expression on her face that is that of the woman I knew and loved, back in the day, only more assertive. I've seen other "headshots" and she previously went the "generic smiling executive" route. In this one, there's attitude...the attitude I remember as if it were yesterday.

I think back and realize that sometimes men just aren't ready when the most amazing women cross their paths. I know I wasn't. I've regretted it ever since. I just wasn't ready.

She didn't need a nose job. And it wasn't for the better, either.
