Well, I got my elderly kitty settled into her new home..
I have been out of town a lot lately so I decided to send daniel to stay with my mother for her final days. She is in her early 20's and she just keeps going!

She went from this tiny little apartment to a HUGE house. There are kitty beds everywhere and daniel is just having a blast exploring and sniffing. She is either sleeping or exploring, she is used to being moved around all her life so she just jumped right in!

She hasn't had a dog encounter yet, but she is used to dogs and the dogs are used to cats, so I am not worried about that. I am just glad that I can give daniel some comfort in her last days.

Now I have to figure out what to do with barney. Daniel is a loner and she has an 18-year-old female kitty as a roommate,so she is set up. I am only home 1-2 days a week and I need to either talk my partner into letting me take barney to his house or just taking him with me everywhere i go. Problem is, barney is HEAVY and I wouldn't be able to use the buses with him.

So I was thinking...what if i let barney have a pet kitten? Wouldn't that keep him happy if I am gone so much? Will the kitten be ok only having me home 1-2 days a week? Maybe a teenager kitten so he is good and socialized before I leave him with barney.

What do you all think of all this? I have no idea how to proceed. Thanks in advance!
