The only one which sounded even half worth a damn on that list was Paramore, per my YouTube searches. And even they seem to just be cashing in on the huge teenie-bopper vampire fad.

. . . funny thing, though - I can still remember and still like even mainstream one-hit wonders, underground songs and classic rock from my grandparents and parents and my era. I refuse to believe Nickelback, Katy Perry and Daughtry will be tomorrow's "classic" artists. Kid Rock songs just get laughed at now, as do Saliva's, Unkle Kracker's and Limp Bizkit's. They aren't this generation's Who or Queen by a longshot.

Nobody pines for this decade's instantly forgettable mainstream crap. All of the good stuff is literally found in the underground of music, on bargain basement labels. This isn't music snobbery talking, either. Many people other than just me see it. Watch the documentary "Before the Music Died", which explains why music quality has been in a deep decline since entertainment conglomerates almost completely took distribution and radio over.

Even a 43 y.o. like me realizes these bands aren't exactly the hot new thing. I liked Maroon 5 when Songs About Jane came out. Everything since then has sounded the same. Nickelback has only written two songs. Linkin Park - meh. I really loved the cover they did a few years back of With or Without You by U2. Only it had different lyrics this time. Daughtry - Nickelback with a better singer.

I do like Paramore. I think Haley Williams is spunky and cute and I like her voice.
