12. A Must Read Article On Mr. Rohrbacher

This is an article that appeared in the progressive O.C. Weekly newspaper on Congressman Rohrbacher. Rohrbacher was a Special Assistant to Ronald Reagan when the latter was US President, charged with arranging the shipment of arms and assistance to the Islamic "freedom fighters" in Afghanistan. Rohrbacher is seen in a photo with these fighters. During his travels to Afghanistan, Rohrbacher recalls personally meeting a very young Osama Bin Laden in their midst.

It seems that Rohrbacher's criticisms of the Clinton Administration's alleged appeasement of the Taliban is a complete fraud. Rohrbacher himself had been claiming for years that the Taliban were not our enemies. He met with a representative of Mullah Omar, in fact, in April 2001 and was trying to cut deals with them, along with other friends of former US President George HW Bush. This information, chapter and verse about Rohrbacher's daliance with the Taliban needs to be made public, big time. Rohrbacher is up for re-election and we need to send this ultimate Republican scumbag packing.
