Mine has no real tastes she has ever defined. However, I know that if I put on John Denver, the Mamas and the Papas or Leonard Cohen, she'll like it. So, I'm fairly confident I can play any old folk type music and she'll love it. She also likes Arcade Fire and Etta James.

But, if I throw on Young MC, I get nothing!

1. He likes 60s music. I can't stand hearing those same songs over and over.
Not even GOOD 60s music, but the stuff that plays on the radio ad nauseum.

4. She LOVES the Rolling Stones, saw them 3 or 4 times in concert,
she loves blues and rock n roll...I got her started listening to AC/DC and the Ramones, and she already loved the old blues artists...we were both musicians playing in different clubs in Philly when we met.

We must have a dozen guitars in our house...

7. My spouse loves music from 1964-1974
Not only is this is favorite music, he needs to hear only the opening few notes to identify the song and the performer.

I always tell him to imagine the good he could have done if he had applied his brain power to something useful!

8. As a general rule, if it comes from the 80's and I hate it, my wife loves it.
My wife's musical tastes include:

AC/DC
Bryan Adams
Asia
Bee-Gee's
Bon Jovi
The Cars
Def Leppard

...and so on, very popular stuff that I hate. She likes Journey and Loverboy, and never once has been able to explain why.
