Ketchup that is more tangy than sweet?
I had some delicious fries in a restaurant yesterday, but the ketchup provided struck me as overly sweet.

Anyway, I'm assuming that there are some good ketchups out there that are a little lighter on the sugar and stronger on the vinegar. Any recommendations?

3. How about just malt vinegar?

.
I have to watch my sodium, so balsamic vinegar has become
my condiment/flavoring of choice. It goes well with almost
ANYTHING!!

.
In fact, good thick syrupy aged balsamic vinegar (read that
as 'EXPENSIVE') is supposed to be heaven on vanilla ice cream.

Seriously.

4. I used to like Brooks spicy ketchup, because it doesn't taste too tomato-ey, if
you know what I mean. But it's getting harder and harder to find.
Also I have heard that about balsamic vinegar also, the ice cream thing.

7. Thanks for the suggestions, everyone.
I do like vinegar with fries; that was a good reminder. And it's good to get some brand names that go beyond the regular supermarket fare. So, thanks, again.

9. Oddly, they make a great canned pasta sauce at about 50% the price of jarred sauces.
I want my pasta sauce a bit sweet, not so much my ketchup.

12. Actually Heinz makes a ketchup with 75% less sugar
It is not as sweet but everything is sweet to me since I am not fond of sweet foods. I do like to use salsa for fries.
