Today, I figured out life.
(please move to GD if needed.)

You are born.

Your parents don't know how to raise you.

They raise you to the best of their ability or discard you.

They can only go by what they know...

When you grow up, everything changes - nullifying just about everything your parents told you. Modern, topical examples of this are Social security, retirement funds, stable jobs, you name it.

We are not a society, and don't let anyone say we are. We have no rules where rules count the most.

Our 'grouping of people' has created a situation that does not promote stability. It does not promote prosperity for the masses. It does not promote happiness. It promotes stress and aggrevation. It makes false promises that it dumps the instant they become inconvenient. It promotes selfishness and greed and harming your brother, either metaphorically or literally. It promotes both redundancy and waste. It is cheap.

A society on the other hand WOULD create a situation that promotes stability, promotes happiness, not waste, reduces stress because all in the society work toward a common communal good while allowing people to still be people of their own free will.

1. You know, many paranoid and ignorant people
...would call your definition of "society" at the end there as too close to "socialism." Dog-eat-dog, looking out for number 1, me-first and last and unregulated, unfettered capitalism seem to be the order of the day.

3. How much of that stuff did you take?
I mean, I basically agree with you -- socialist undertones and all.

I'm a little concerned about the melancholy tone of some of the stuff that you wrote; is this a revelation for you? If so, I'm sorry -- you should have eaten the blue pill and gone back to sleep. For those who are "aware" of the world they live in, much of what you have noted is simply a part of reality.
