120 Minutes fans Check In

Sigh...

That was my "60's" music-wise.

Bahause, Ministry, Love and Rockets, The Banshees, Violent Fems, Early NIN, Sisters of Mercy, Devo, Early Nirvana, etc....

I could go on and on and on.

For a while, it was still on MTV2, but it's disappeared again.

Sigh...

A :toast: to you, 120. It's like it was the 80's again. I'm listening to so many Bush One songs that it's silly.

I think that's making me feel my age finally.

Does each generation awake to constant repeats? I'm starting to think so....

2. Aw, 120 minutes is gone?
I saw it was back on MTV2, and was so happy. I discovered bands that I might not have otherwise, because you'd never hear them on the radio.

3. I loved it until the Dave English guy took over about '90
then it was all the English sound, all the time. He missed the whole Seattle thing and they replaced him. In that process he skipped a lot of GREAT music. I still have dozens of tapes of 120 minutes - most of the time I couldn't stay up that late, its fun to go back through them.

4. Musically, I think we're in a unique period
Many of us Gen-Xers (don't kill me for using that term, please) are now the dreaded "Thirtysomething" that we made fun of in our 20's. Those who were in the Nixon Generation compare Bush to Nixon but it doesn't mesh quite right. What makes this such a deja vu experience is because we've had to deal with a repeated family in power.

Maybe there is a Generation Anti-Bush?
