I'm waiting for the weekend - but I know some folks going to the midnight showings tonight. The latest trailer looks extremely creepy!

:woohoo:

is a professor! :D

The reviews in the paper this am were very good. Can't wait to go. We were teasing my son that we were going to go Sunday while he's watching the Steeler game with his uncles!

2. I'm looking forward to it but won't go right away.
I would have thought there would be more buzz in the Lounge about it.

besides wasn't sure I wanted to drive home at 2:30 am or whatever it would have been!

4. My daughter works in a movie theater
She said the first person in line got there at 8 AM!!! The theater didn't even open til 10 am.

I went and saw a movie at 3 pm and there were a half dozen kids there with blankets/laptops/Harry Potter garb sitting in the lobby line already.

Apparently, the girl who got there at 8 am had plugged her computer into the wall for recharging and a manager privately griped about her "using our electricity". Seriously? The kid is going to be in your building for literally 18 hours most likely buying LOTS of food/drink to get thru the day and YOU are bitching about her "using" your electricity????

My daughter's dreading today, she doesn't get off til the midnight ENDS and she got there mid-day!

7. hope she hangs in there- sounds like a busy day
Worrying about someone plugging in their laptop seems a bit silly. Doesn't everyone do that? I did it in a hospital waiting room while my mom was having some tests...

8. My wife is very excited,
we are going to see it Sunday night, or Monday night. I went to the midnight screenings of The Dark Knight/Superman Returns, and both of those screenings were incredibly packed, and I imagine the fan base/hysteria over the new HP movie to eclipse TDK/SR. Plus, we both hate being surrounded by a lot of folks we don't know.

18. I think it's my favorite adaptation of a book so far
It moves slowly enough to really let you consider each scene.

19. that is an amazing book - when we first read it, you could really feel the fear
and claustrophobia - very effective.

27. I thought the film really conveyed
the loneliness and fear of the trio.

Even though they're together, this is the first time they haven't had adults or other kids to help and look after them, and also each of them has his or her own set of fears and anxieties about family and about the other two they're with.

Hermione's freaked about Ron and Harry, Harry is freaked that people are going to get killed because of him and depressed about Ron and Hermione, and Ron is terrified for his family and jealous of Harry and Hermione. :(

28. I thought Rupert did an EXCELLENT job
as Ron!

Those "Ron moments" were just perfectly timed and delivered. And the scenes where he's starting to lose it - you could really see it in his eyes.

for all the crowds.. :hi: It looks scarily good though and they should be able to avoid leaving out as much as they have in past films due to it being in 2 parts!
