My Father died tonight at the nursing home in his sleep.

It was peaceful passing, my Aunt was there.

I will miss him so.

He was a good man, and did the best he could for his family.

I was hoping for another holiday season with my Father, a least Thanksgiving.

My Father and I were not always close but we did get together for the last few years.

My father was a WWII vet, another one gone.

Mom went in 2003, same way, in a nursing home.

She was of the Greatest Generation, and Eleanor Roosevelt flew to Detroit to give her the first War Production Board award to a woman.

What mattered to her at the end was her sons. We loved her, and you obviously loved your Dad.
