3. I once had a very funny conversation with Dan Savage about Clinton.

We were at a bookfest in Seattle not long after the whole Clinton thing, and he and someone else (I think a psychologist named Pepper Schwartz) were doing a presentation about gender issues and politics. I asked him what he imagined the reaction would have been had the genders been reversed, MEANING, what if the president had been a woman, but he misunderstood and burst out laughing, saying "Honey, if there had been a boy under that desk they'd have burned the White House to the ground!"
