Outside In: my newest poem

[CaliforniaPeggy]

describe the day as it rolls by
with a keen and mournful eye
let no detail escape you

the rolling wave churns up
the sea birds skitter
on flashing legs
the grey clouds roll overhead
so dark you’ll never see the sun
again

the cold blasts down to your core
you want to run
but still you stay to watch it all
you are compelled

you more than see the storm out there
you feel it, deep within

your own storm
outside, in

...I can relate. 2010 was definitely the year of "my own storm," which I saw, felt, and am still feeling. But so far it hasn't killed me so I guess, by default, it's made me stronger.

Hopefully, I'll get word tomorrow. He was supposed to be released yesterday...

he told me he would call me Sunday. I'm worried, but trying not to make my step-mother

upset (it's a ridiculous balancing act :-( ).
