Stuffing warning
Did you know that both Pepperidge Farm and Arnold's bagged stuffing contain HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP? And whatever for?

I'm pretty sure your grandmothers' stuffing didn't have that crap. (My own grandmothers, living in Estonia, probably didn't even know what stuffing or Thanksgiving were. They were busy stirring the sauerkraut and barley.)

I recently noticed by checking labels that every single Pepperidge Farm product on our grocery's shelves contains HCFS, so I'm boycotting their dinner rolls for Thanksgiving dinner.

When I put on my tinfoil hat, I gotta wonder if Our Corporate Overlords want to make all of us obese and weak so that we can't revolt against them.

1. That crap is in so many food items it's not even funny
And every time I see one of those commercials for HFCS that say your body doesn't know the difference between cane sugar and corn sugar, I want to throw something at the TV. The human body is not stupid; it DOES know the difference, and HFCS is one of the absolute worst things ever invented.

2. the bread itself needs a little sugar for the yeast to work
that is why you will find it in almost all bread products

REAL sourdough is sugar free so store brands may have less, I've never looked

I make cornbread stuffing from scratch and it takes even more sugar than regular bread, so I imagine the packaged product does too.

almost all the sugar in processed foods is hfcs
