I went to Politics and Prose last night...

The place in DC where they film a lot of the CSpan author shows...

It's a great book store and I always find something in there that I wouldn't find anywhere else...

It's so hard to feel comfy in a place like Borders or B&N. This place is like the book stores I always wanted to open.

We had a store nearby, a much different place from Politics and Prose, but similarly comfy. Complete with the cat in the window...

We had a little coffeehouse/book store in the small town I grew up in.

On weekends, you were lucky to get a seat day or night. That thing was always packed. The last time I went there, some local writers were doing readings from The Crucible.

They didn't serve any fancy coffee drinks or have the look of a regular bookstore yet the place was busy. If I close my eyes I can still remember the layout and the wood floor smell. That place had a wonderful feel to it. I miss it.
