Harry Potter DH Part I

No spoilers.

I'm just very disappointed in it. I know some people are raving about it, but I have many reservations in it. As scenes passed by, I felt I had to fill in MANY blanks from the books, because things were not being explained, and if you hadn't read the books, you would have been left out in the cold.

I've given it a 7 out of 10.

1. Well, most of the book is "Harry & Friends Go Camping"

some of the rest is Snape/Lily backstory that has been almost completely ignored up to this point, but without it, Snape is rather pointless. Hell, they didn't even explain *how* Snape was the HBP in the movie! I feel the reasoning behind splitting the book into 2 movies is so they have time for this. I was surprised to see how closely they stayed with the book this time, though.

Overall, I enjoyed it.

2. I haven't read any of the books...

and I've found that I'm having a harder time keeping track of things as each movie comes out.

And i'm sure I'll feel similar...one of the things you mention that is missing was something that I was looking forward to seeing.
