2. I tried it last Thanksgiving... didn't like it.
I think it was mostly due to the texture.

This year I may try Quorn Turk'y Roast.

:hi:

6. On its own, its good but not great.
It's about how you cook it and serve it. The gravy is awesome. I buy multiple canisters to use over the year on various stuff.

7. It's brilliant!
The taste and texture put me strongly in mind of turkey bologna.

However, its value derives less from its gustatory qualities than from what it represents on a conceptual level: a turkey substitute to placate the omnivores who may be showing up to your veggie Thanksgiving, thus ensuring a more peaceable meal for all. In this respect, it is a work of Genius.

10. Yes.
If you haven't had real meat in two years, it tastes great. If you've had meat any closer to that, it'll taste absolutely disgusting. Personally, I prefer the real stuff or just go without and have a heaping plate of potatoes and gravy.

12. Yes.
While I cannot say I love it, I also hated turkey when I was still a non-vegetarian.

For Thanksgiving, I will be having an apricot PB+J on oatmeal bread, a side of vegetarian stuffing, some taters, a glass of cranberry juice and a bucket of popcorn. That right there is a feast for a bachelor-king.

14. Tofurky, no, Quorn Roast, yes, and it was pretty good - and this is coming from an avowed omnivore.
The one thing to remember is that Quorn has egg white in it, so it's not vegan.

16. Despite being vegetarian for over 20 years - no, no, and no - in that order.
That's just one of those things I can't do to Thanksgiving. I eat various meat-substitute things (like SmartDogs, Gardenburger, MorningStar Farms stuff, etc.), but Thanksgiving is partially about preparing things as a family and somehow that thing just seems wrong.
