Oh, NOOOOOO - I forgot to cook the cranberry sauce!
How could I - the bags of cranberries were literally staring me in the face every time I opened the refrigerator! Hubby will just have to suffer through Turkey Day with canned jellied cranberry sauce instead of home made. But I had plenty of time yesterday to make it and FORGOT!

3. I've got some cranberry sauce left over from last year, but I don't trust it.
Usually I take fresh to the in laws since all they ever have is canned jellied cranberry sauce. But Mr. csziggy really likes the fresh whole berry stuff and it is so easy to make. I could boil them up now, but we have to leave in a half hour so it would not be cooled in time. Hubby might like hot cranberry sauce, but I doubt anyone else would.

I'm making our own Turkey Day tomorrow - or maybe Saturday - so I can cook it for him in time for that. But dang! Those cranberries have been on the shelf in the fridge at eye level since MONDAY and I still forgot them.

At least he'll have fresh for this year. And he is not one to complain - he knows he will get what he gets and be damned happy for it, LOL!

4. Today is for the family - I'm cooking our turkey tomorrow or Saturday
So I will make sauce for then. And since most of the turkey will be cut up and put in the freezer for later, most of the cranberry sauce will be put away to use with it.

I hope someone got cranberry sauce for the in law meal!

5. it only takes 5 or ten minutes
cup of water, cup of sugar (OJ if you prefer)
boil, add berries, simmer a few minutes till they mostly all pop

don't forget to use a big enough pan - that's what I always forget
