3. The "just one more won't kill me" rule is easily negated by considering cholesterol levels.
I can't leave the things alone. There's just something about them.

10. Ain't that the truth!
And I'm a smoker. Everyone in my neighborhood when I was a kid made damn sure they arrived at the party early for no other reason than to get to the deviled eggs before the stampede. I remember easily polishing off at least 6 or 7... "just one more"... "ok, just one more and that's it"... "there's still a few left and someone's got to eat them"....

4. Try not to fart in public
eggs make for very potent farts. Even if you just fart the smallest bit of gas, it takes over.

9. Oh man how I love them
Haven't had one since I was a kid since I've never made them, my parents never made them, and the only time they were made by anyone was for some holiday celebration. We always looked forward to any holiday because at least one of the neighbors was sure to contribute the yummy deviled eggs.

One of those things I miss so much from my childhood.

11. How I take deviled eggs from incredible to sublime:

I mince tuna fish and add it to the yolk mixture.

I have NEVER been able to take any home.

Not enough to be hot, but enough to give it some depth.

18. You've never had one before, really? If you live in America, I can't
understand why you haven't been narfing them down since you were a kid.

When I'm at a party/cookout, they have to keep the deviled eggs under lock and key so I don't inhale the whole batch.

Deviled eggs? Damn the cholesterol, full speed ahead.

20. Man I love deviled eggs.
Ms Lasher makes the best ones in the whole world. She uses mustard and vinegar, no sugar or anything like that. They are tart, not sweet. Similar thing with her excellent potato salad but we do add home made sweet pickles. I ate about a million deviled eggs today and now I want potato salad.

that sounds kinda good and i usually don't like those.
my breakfast consisted of stuffed black olives with cream cheese, port wine cheese on ritz crackers and some chips with cream cheese & onion dip.

apparently lots of cheese.

on second edit: i forgot to mention the shrimp & cocktail sauce.

on edit:
"The term "deviled," in reference to food, was in use in the 18th century, with the first known print reference appearing in 1786.<1> In the 19th century, it came to be used most often with spicy or zesty food, including eggs prepared with mustard, pepper or other ingredients stuffed in the yolk cavity.

"In some parts of the Southern and Midwestern United States, the terms "salad eggs" or "dressed eggs" are used, particularly when the dish is served in connection with a church function - presumably to avoid dignifying the word "deviled."
