8. We were stationed in Panama when I was a kid

The jungle was right across the street from us, so "exotic" animals were always around :)..

Paradise for kids.. nightmare for parents.. Everything was poisonous or could drag a kid into the jungle..never to be seen again :)

We found Tita clinging to the mango tree in our yard, and Pogo was a bitsy little baby that ended up left behind when the other coatis wandered down for their daily "bread"..and he was too slow for me :evilgrin:

Every day at sundown, hundreds of coatis would emerge from the jungle and all the people on our street would toss bread to them..

6. a few

"Sam" - only fish I remember naming. An algae eater. Lived a hell of a long time.
"Christopher" - baby robin thrown out of nest. It actually learned to fly out of the cardboard box, and then one day, out of the garage.
"Theorem Ambergris" - ball python. A neighbor bought it on a whim while tripping on LSD, named it Theorem. I gave her the second name when I bought it from her a week later.
"Spot" - stray cat I tried to adopt. Parents visited at college and made me give it away as long as they were paying for college. Meanies.
"Zoloft" - my black and white cat with big ears who I love very much!

30. I Love My Beasties!

They ALL get fat and sassy. I treat them like members of the family, and if they like what i'm eating, they get what i'm eating.

My dog will eat any and all vegetables, raw or cooked, except for raw broccoli and raw cauliflower. He will eat both cooked, though. He will bark his head off for a carrot.

Also, i take him in the car everywhere. I have a seatbelt harness for him, which i always use, but i bought it specifically 'cuz i drive a ragtop. Didn't want the beastie to become a missile.

Two dogs, two cats are all the pets I've ever had in my life.

Toby was a black over brown weiner dog.

Declan was a Collie mixed, but he more or less looked like a stubby collie. Same color, etc.

Kisa is a big beautiful female mixed blue cat.

Romulus is a young male tuxedo cat that looks a lot like everybody's favorite, Sylvester.

Kisa and Romulus are still with us.
