Turkey and Waffles anyone?
Edited on Fri Nov-26-10 10:33 PM by Avalux
Make a waffle, slap some butter on it, cover it with cut up leftover turkey then smother the whole thing with gravy. Courtesy of my Pennsylvania Dutch ancestors. Super easy and absolutely devine!!

2. Ha ha! You should go make one then let me know what you think.

4. Now THAT might make me puke.
The more I think of it though, the addition of syrup might not be horrible; my dad would sometimes put a dollop of cranberry sauce on top of his waffle; kinda similar!

6. Well there you go!
I think I'll have to try adding the syrup. After all, I eat radishes and honey. ;)

7. Creamed chicken and waffles used to be the All America travel food in the 1930's -
till it began to be replaced by the hamburger and later by pizza in the 1940's and '50's.
Mom used to make them often, even had a waffle iron to make home made waffles, something I just saw on sale last week for the first time in many years...

Great stuff!
