2. LSU just lost, and I think that helps OSU out

Since LSU was ahead of OSU but behind Wisconsin in both the Harris Poll and the USA Today Poll, then Ohio State has more points to gain with that loss. And Stanford is also ahead of Ohio State in the Harris Poll, so if Stanford loses that will help OSU out even more.

I don't think it will be enough, though. I assume that Wisconsin will still stay ahead of OSU in both of those human polls, and Wisconsin was also ahead in the computer polls going into this week -- but the lid was slim, and almost all the computers will credit a win over Michigan more than a win over Northwestern, so it could get very close ...

3. Michigan is pretty pathetic except for Robinson

I don't think beating Michigan will help OSU much more than Wisconsin over Northwestern.
