Do you know any Freepers in real life?
And I'm not talking about your next door neighbor who has American Flags plastered all over his Mongo sized SUV.

I'm talking about someone who has an account at Free Republic AND is a right-wing nut job (yes, I know some of us have accounts at FR for amusement value - that doesn't count).

I had a freeper co-worker back at my last job when I was living in Pennsylvania. This was before DU existed and I checked out the website once - and that last 10 minutes until I realized these folks are nuts. Ironically, the freeper co-worker was a really nice guy and we got along really well at work. We just couldn't talk politics because personally I thought his ideas were WARPED!!!

3. judging by their intelligence level
I'd hope that in my hospital there are none here - or else I'd fear for the patients.

4. Sure do.

Several on a mailing list I am active on. They get slapped around with regularity, by me and others, especially a retired Flag Officer who just happens to be one hell of a pit-fighting liberal.

God damn...the crap that comes out of their "mouths". The crap they believe. The stuff that passes for logic. Proof that sniffing glue is terrible for the brain.

5. I work with several.
There is literally NOTHING they find wrong with Bush or his administration. And yet they accuse ME of being a blind partisan when I try to defend against their attacks on Democrats. They are otherwise intelligent, informed, and even nice people, which is the shocker.

6. Alas, yes.
One father-in-law. Two brother-in-laws. One uncle. One uncle-in-law. AND two cousins-in-law.

Sheesh. No wonder I drink so much at family gatherings.

9. How about calling it "regular, face-to-face interpersonal contact"?

8. A Few
They're "family" and a large part of what I "grew up" with and continue to deal with now.

I'm not a "happy camper" sometimes.

13. If You Need It
I'm not bitching.

I also like to stuff Venison in my freezer and help my Aunt out with her 5-acre garden.

14.  Not exactly, but . . .
I once did a google for my name out of curiosity and I was floored when I found out one of my posts on the Clark website about meeting George McGovern had been copied and was being discussed on the Free Republic site.

A little weird.
