They were incredible live. Searching the Rykodisc website to find out why their jewel boxes suck so bad I see the early Dumptruck catalog has been rereleased! This is good news, D is for is terrific and never been on CD before, with added tracks. Everything else was out of print.

Dumptruck recorded their first album (D .. is for Dumptruck) in 1983 in a tiny demo studio. It was released on Incas records, a Connecticut label owned by Mark Mulcahey of Miracle Legion (who also played drums on the record). In the Village Voice Robert Christigau gave it an “A”, and following a CMJ showcase opening for the Replacements they were signed. The album was re-released to wider distribution and even more acclaim. This is the first time it is being released on CD, and it has 5 bonus tracks"
