2. Sparkling Italian? What do you have over there? Lambrusco?
There are a jillion different Italian reds, but almost nothing goes better with pasta than lambrusco...

5. Nah, it's a white
I don't usually like white wines,but the store was fresh out of anything I could deal with, so the default was an Asti spumante. Not a lot of good selection within a five mile radius here, unfortunately. I didn't feel like driving further ;)

6. What a shame. German whites are much better than Italian.
And Italian reds better than German. It's all good.

Anyway, at least you have something comforting to see the new year in.
