I spent the last 3 and a half hours making salsa for New Years presents
Bowls of chopped cilantro, diced tomatoes, green onions, cans of diced jalepeno, garlic, fresh jalepeno and habenero, lemons, salt. I've been doing this for about five years now, the staff at GF's work and my buddies love it.
The GF is making Terlingua chile from a pork loin (usually use a chuck roast), spices and smells drifting through the house, occasional beer break and stoke the fireplace break. Of course, Twilight Zone marathon in the background (I don't care to watch, but she controls the clicker today, or everyday).
I make some VERY good salsa if I do say so myself. We now have 22 jars in the fridge, every one slightly different. I've gotten an offer to sell it, not sure what's involved legally, but hell, I could do it.
What next? Maybe a doobie.....Happy New Year all!

1. My dear panader0!
Sounds to me like you're having a very productive New Year's Day!

Your salsa sounds wonderful, though I'm not crazy about cilantro. Isn't it funny? Some folks love it, and some don't. NO middle ground.

And 22 jars sounds like a prodigious amount of work!

Happy New Year to you both!

Had a discussion on the subject some time ago at Cook/Bake, and learned there's actually a 'chemical' reason for this, and its not uncommon.

3. Thanks, my dear elleng...
I'm relieved (lol) to read that it's not my fault!

But I would never fight people who love it...

They can have all they want!
