3. Love the old videos
Carl was the perfect lead when Brian didn't want to perform and after he stopped touring. He was able to seamlessly step in, his voice was amazing. LOL @ Mike in the Barbara Ann video....he didn't play an instrument, this was his pre-theremin and sax perforances....so he had nothing else to do during the instrumental but dance. ha. He did have some pretty good songs where he sang lead "All I wanna do", "Add some music to your day",

4. I loved their music in the early-mid 1960's and got re-aquainted with it
about 7 years ago. They were a fantastic group, and Brian is a real American treasure.
I'm ordering the CD today.

5. I liked the Beach Boys pretty well as I grew up, and when I found out that they were

the typical American alcoholic family, with each brother in a typical alcoholic family role (Brian-family hero, Dennis-scapegoat, Carl-lost child), that endeared them to me for good.

6. Yeah, sad to say, Murray reminds me of my dad for most of my
growing up years-He wasn't a drunk, just mean, controling etc...

Thanks again- I had not heard of this CD, and I just bought a used (but like new!) one on Amazon for around $30...new copies are $90, which is more than I want to spend...It seems like a real treasure for old fans, lots of studio outtakes and stuff, and a track with Carol Kaye, who played bass on many of their studio recordings...she is one of the GREAT
early electric bassists-she invented that term-and I have an email letter from her in my bass case that I treasure.
