What is your favourite dvd marathon? I once rented Sex and the City, all 7 seasons, in one week.

it is Breaking Bad through Netflix. Normally I watch a disc of a show, a movie, than the next disc. It looks like I won't be watching any movies for awhile. I'm hooked to that show. I get 1 disc at a time so it will probably take me 3-4 weeks to burn through it.

19. I have all the DVDs at home and now that netflix has it

I can take Buffy anywhere. I still love that show. I used to work a long boring weekend shift with this guy (building eng. not the type of guy you would think would love Buffy) We would do our rounds or whatever work was assigned to us in the first few hours of the shift then sit down and watch 5 or 6 hours of Buffy working or way season by season through the whole thing. Good times.

I had forgotten about him. My mind kind of got stuck on Jane Seymour. As for Jar Jar, I'd watch him any day over the orcs running through the forest as the camera zoomed in dramatically on Orlanda Bloom's concerned--or was it constipated, I couldn't tell--gaze. Or that giant gorilla fighting a Tyrannasaurus Rex... No, wait, I think that was in a different Peter Jackson film, wasn't it? Hard to tell after 96 hours of CGI.

As for the Kong/T-Rex fight, I thought that it was quite well done. The brontosaurus stampede, though, was kind of silly in a Land of the Lost sort of way.

It's an okay, but not great, episode. But they ended on a cliffhanger and apparently the network then cancelled them w/o warning during the hiatus. So the last thing you see of Earl is with a big "To Be Continued" over his face (or actually Darnell's). Argh!

But yes, that show actually helped me get through this year's winter depression.

and starting the third one a little late. So I went to Blockbuster and rented the first two seasons on DVD and watched several eps a day until I finished them. Then I caught up with the eps I'd missed at the beginning of Season 3 through On Demand. That was my favorite marathon.

Both AMC and Matt Weiner say they're publicly committed to having Season 5, but they haven't green lighted actual writing for the season (which would normally start shooting in December or January) because of unspecified "discussions".

59. Just as an FYI there were only 6 seasons of "Sex and the City"

Because season #5 was shortened due to RL pregancies with both Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon, they cut the season short from the usual 18 episodes to just 8. Season #5 was probably the lamest of seasons btw.

So to make it up to the fans they extended season #6 from the usualy 18 episodes to 20 instead. Normally with SATC, for seasons 2-4, they would show 12 episodes back to back, take a 2-3 month break and then show 6 more. Each first half of the seasons usually had a bit of a 'cliffhanger' to them - Carrie broke up with Big the 2nd time on season #2, Charlotte's wedding and Carrie's first breakup with Aiden for season #3 and for season #4 we had Carrie and Aiden just getting engaged, Charlotte and Trey breaking up and Miranda's pregancy.

Season #5 was just a mess. Everyone was broken up and in dour moods. Probably the only semi decent episode was, um, well, uh none of them really.

They did make it up in Season #6 and gave us extra episodes. They had 12 episodes for the first half and 8 for the 2nd half. And to wring as much money possible out of us they sold season #6 in two separate packages. So not only did I pay full price for short season #5 but full price twice for first half of season #6 and 2nd half of season #6.

I just had a four-day weekend, and declared Janestock.

Best thing ever to hit the small screen, and the Blu-Ray makes up for all the lousy color in the VHS and both DVD releases. I can now say that I've seen more P&P than anyone other than Jennifer Ehle.
