Should this car be in a museum?

For sale tomorrow night at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction.

This 1963 Pontiac ambulance was used to transport President John F. Kennedy's body from Air Force One following his assassination in Dallas on November 22, 1963.

2. the reason I ask is because

the limo he was riding in when he was shot is in the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn Michigan. A vehicle like this is too historic to be sold and kept in a private collection.

4. I think a private collection is a good place for it.

If a museum wants it, they'll find it, and it is taken care of in the meantime. Barrett-Jackson is awesome! I watch it all the time.

I wouldn't consider it a particularly interesting museum artifact (I'd say the same about the limo, actually)...
