5. Run Linux from a thumbdrive and go get it

This software works nicely for downloading/installing/configuring a Linux distribution that will run from a USB stick:

Once you've got a Linux distro installed on it, (I recommend Puppy Linux - it's small and it boots up super easy) turn off your comp, pop the stick in and when you turn the machine on, choose to have the system read from the USB drive - usually pressing the F2 key will do the trick.

Then, find your resume file on your hard drive and save it to another USB stick or to Google docs or something.
