How long will the major networks squeeze the power outage story
Edited on Thu Aug-14-03 07:07 PM by Chuckup
CNN hits the gold mine yet again. Just when you thought it was safe to watch cable again. Tonight on Larry King: Special guest, Steven Sax, stranded on the 54th floor on the Empire state building during the 1977 blackout, also joined by Dr. Henry MacDougal, inventor of the modern power grid, and responsible for rolling black-outs as a means to lighten loads on power plants. Later in the show, meet John Newcomb, he's the guy who has his own "Green" wind power generator, live from Upstate NY.

FOX News - With General Charles Fielding (ret), brain child behind the US Army's mobile power generation system. Fielding first introduced mobile power during the conflict in Vietnam.

Also on FOX NEWS - Brady Kyle, power distribution specialist explains what a power grid is, and how it works. David Beazley, independent power consultant for major Canadian power providers. David will detail the sale of Canadian electricity into the US power grid, and how Canada could in fact take down the entire east coast power grid at any time.

Much more coming to a network news station near you!

2. uhhh,
this is actually a real story. In NY, 10 million without power. That's half the state. In Canada, over ten million without power. This truly impacts the lives of millions of people. Ohio, Michigan. It's quite hot here in the NE. Thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of folks are on foot in the attempt to get home.
