11. Most of the Chinese women I know aren't that short

My wife is about 5'4", as is her sister. Two of my wife's best Chinese friends are 5'6" and 5'8", though another one is like 5'1"/5'2" (Oddly, my ex-wife was of Irish and Jewish descent and claimed to be 5'1", but was probably closer to 4'11" than 5'1")

Even when I go to Chinese holiday parties where there are lots of Chinese men & women, I don't recall many women all that short. Maybe it's because my mom's family is Italian and a lot of old school Italian women are pretty short (I have two cousins that are both about 5'1") that these women don't seem all that short to me.
