I posted last week that I had never been bullied as a kid. I was. Is it a good thing
or a bad thing that I forgot....that it wasn't at the front of my brain? As they say: short memory = happy life.

1. No. I have a friend, short memory, miserable life. Some people
are just happier if they insist on living their life miserable.
He has millions, and stays up late at night fretting about getting more. Senseless. His brother is the same way too. Total worry warts. A lot of heart and generosity, but they seem to love to live in woeful misery.
Now, bullying. Indeed I would feel sorry for you if you did not suffer bullying as a child. As you would be the first person ever to not so suffer. Unless you are from some other planet.
It is an essential part of human life.
It teaches you things. That you can't fight everybody. That sometimes you need to turn to one of the tougher good kids to beat up the bully.
That pacifism is a better approach.
But that sometimes you do have to stand up for your rights.
