Does anyone else have trouble thinking of things to say?
What I mean is that I can't ever seem to know what to say in a given situation. Tonight my boyfriend got a little upset with me. We live in separate towns and see each other on the weekends. He moved knowing full well that I would likely be unable to find a job up there. He complains that he is lonely and stressed out. I don't really know what to tell him. Honestly I really don't know if things will ever be okay. But I don't
want to say that either. Sometimes I think he would be better off with someone else. I can't ever really say what
is on my mind. I just dont have the words.

1. My dear alarimer...
Believe it or not, sometimes I have trouble knowing what to say too.

If you're there with him, sometimes a hug says all you want ...

You could just tell him that you're at a loss for words, and go from there.

2. Thanks.
We will see each other tomorrow. Fortunately the weeks seem to go by quickly enough that it isn't too bad.

4. I always have things to say. The trick is to know whether or not ...
to say them.

Sometimes situations fix themselves.

Sometimes there is a tacit understanding,
but no one wants to say the words, because
the timing is not right.

Sometimes people change their minds.

"Not to decide is to decide."

5. I (and probably most) almost never think of the "right" thing to say...

I suggest writing out your feelings -- work on it over several days until
you ARE saying as close to what you "mean" as possible -- and then be
there when he reads it -- ask him to read it all before he says anything.

6. yes i do most of the time
i'm not a verbal talky person, it's a bit awkward when people want to "talk things out," as i feel in my heart that talking things out only leads to trouble and even more misunderstanding -- all this talking causes people to "dwell," is the springer/oprah/dr. phil society REALLY happier than the silent society was? no, it's just as miserable, people just put their misery on the street, it's a plain fantasy that talking is such a great cure-all

have a lot of sickness and bankruptcy in my circle right now (well, who doesn't?) and it's quite awkward, don't want to talk abt the negative, don't know what to say when the victim starts talking about the negative, what do you say?

no idea, you just try to hear them out, i guess
