Four Questions:
Edited on Mon Mar-21-11 11:26 PM by The Doctor.

What is your favorite Animal?

- Now, give 3 reasons why you like that animal.

What is your favorite color?

- Give 3 reasons you like it or how it makes you feel.

WHAT is your favorite body of water? (Anything from a puddle to a waterpark to an ocean)

- Now, give up 3 things you like about that body of water.

You are in a room. The walls are reinforced concrete. There are no doors or windows. There is no way out. Sustenance is not an issue...

- How do you feel? What do you do? (3 answers please)

Those of you who know what this is... DON'T RUIN IT for everyone else. Just answer honestly.
I'll give my original answers too. But first... let's see what kind of spectrum we have here!

Okay, I'm sitting back with a beer... you all jump in. I'll reveal the meaning of your answers after we have more than ten answers.

1. OK...my answers:
What is your favorite Animal? House cat. Why? They're beautiful, independent, and paradoxically, loving.

What is your favorite color? Blue! It makes me feel beautiful, and happy. It matches my eyes. It says freedom to me.

The Santa Monica Bay. I love its beauty, its color, its shape.

You are in a room. The walls are reinforced concrete. There are no doors or windows. There is no way out. Sustenance is not an issue... Just reading these sentences about this room makes me feel extremely claustrophobic. I feel scared and threatened in the extreme.

What do I do? Hope it's a nightmare that I will shortly wake up from!

2. I'll tell you what it all means.
The only problem is that everyone exposed to the answers by anyone (Including our beloved CP!) have to answer before the explanation is revealed.

(I'll pm you the explanation anyway... let's just see who wants to find out more.)

Loves ya!

5. This should have been four different threads, man. Anyway, my answers...
1) I have to say a cat is my favorite animal, but that could change. I'll say a cat is my favorite animal to date to keep inside my house.

A - They're clean. (except when they vomit)

B - They do crazy things, like chasing things that aren't there (or are they?)

C - They snuggle.

2) Green.

A - color of grass and trees in spring

B - color of money

C - feels lucky

3) Atlantic Ocean

A - laps at the shores near me

B - hurricanes (I love a small hurricane or trop storm)

C - our neighbors "across the pond"

4) I go nuts in an enclosed structure with no way out...

A - I take a deep breath and try to calm myself

B - I take another deep breath and try to calm myself again

C - I come to peace with my present situation, as much as possible, and begin digging.

horse - strong, hard working, beautiful

blue - color of the sky and water, cooling

the pool I used to have - swimming made me feel almost weightless, it was easy exercise and it kept me cool for hours in the summer

concrete room - helpless and trapped, have many questions, probably lie down and go to sleep if not too cold

French Ultramarine Blue #6

WHAT is your favorite body of water? (Anything from a puddle to a waterpark to an ocean)

The Tahoma Glacier
  • It is an incredibly old thing made up of pristine waters from a time when the world was new

13. I'll play along.
Favorite animal: Dogs. I love dogs because they're loyal, they love you unconditionally, and if you look into a dogs eyes you can see they really truly do have souls.

Favorite color: I'll say blue. The skies here in Colorado are a gorgeous shade of blue on a clear spring/summer day, and a nice solid blue reminds me of good weather. I also like blue because I think I happen to look good in blue (dark blue in particular).

Favorite body of water: Tough one, but I'll say the Pacific Ocean. I have good memories of going to Hawaii with friends 6 years ago - flying out over the islands and seeing the water shimmering below, snorkeling on Maui with some sea turtles, and relaxing on the beach on the north short of Oahu without a care in the world except getting another beer.

Trapped in a windowless/doorless room: First of all, I'd wonder if I've gone insane and if I'm actually in a room at all. Other than that, I'd feel pretty trapped and uncomfortable (particularly if there isn't a bed or a couch or something), and I'd also wonder if there was going to be a delivery of books or something else to read.

-I start to plan wall murals of tromp l'eole fields, flowers, trees

What is your favorite Animal?

- A certain cat. It purrs when it lies on my belly. It finds the sunny spot on the carpet. It doesn't need to be entertained.

What is your favorite color?

- Red. Most of my casual shirts are red, so I must like it. It's bright. Red shirs don't stain when I bleed.

WHAT is your favorite body of water?

- Lake Michigan. It's big. It has fish. It's fresh water, so a mouthful doesn't taste bad.

You are in a room. The walls are reinforced concrete. There are no doors or windows. There is no way out. Sustenance is not an issue...

- I feel confined. I want to find a way out. I wonder how the heck I got in here. I'm glad it's only a question, not a reality.

23. Sweet.
1. Favorite animal - Honu (sea turtle) - they are long-lived, and so have a long-term view of history and life, are wise, and are above pop culture and short-term faddish asshoelry. They are slow and patient. And elegant in water.

2. Black - mysterious, unknown. Holds the paradox of being the absence of all light (from an electromagnetic standpoint) yet also the addition of all colors (from a pigment standpoint). Black is also the color that makes other colors more interesting in contrast.

3. The Pacific Ocean - it is peaceful (hence the name) but also incredibly violent and surprising. It encompasses lands from Alaska, the east coast of asia and west coast of the Americas, Hawaii, the South Pacific Islands, Australia, and Antarctica. It's shades of blues can exquisite to the point of making one want to cry, and so dark and cold as to make one tremble.

4. How do I feel? I feel like this: finally, I'm in a place where no one can fucking interrupt me or expect something from me. I spend my time reading, writing, thinking.

25. Here goes;

As we know, we can't just outright ask people directly about themselves. They'll think too hard or just give 'normal' answers. So we disguise the questions to get closer to the real person. This isn't terribly scientific, of course, so it's not to be taken too seriously.

The Animal; This is how you perceive yourself, your inner person.

The Color; is how you want others to perceive you.

Body of Water; This is how you feel about sex and sensuality.

The Room; How you feel about or react to the idea of death, of being 'removed' from everything.

Take a look back at some of the answers... we just learned some things about each-other.

Now, I do apologize, but you obviously have somewhere else to be terribly important and put-upon... so please just go there and kindly fuck off from our little theatre.

They are loyal, it's awesome to watch one finding joy in simple things, and they are fun to play with.

blue I like it because it makes me happy. it is calming and it reminds me of freedom.

WHAT is your favorite body of water? (Anything from a puddle to a waterpark to an ocean)
The shore of a lake at sunset. It makes me feel safe and content. I love the light from the sun glinting off of the waves.

You are in a room. The walls are reinforced concrete. There are no doors or windows. There is no way out. Sustenance is not an issue...
I am a little bit claustrophobic, so I guess I'd probably freak out a bit. When I get that under control, I'd probably just chill. I'd probably find myself daydreaming (I have a rich inner life).

27. OMG! Now that you've told us what it means, I realize I'm nuts!
This is what I wrote on my sheet of paper:

Dog
-loyal
-faithful
-friendly
-affectionate

Okay, there, I guess. I am very loyal and affectionate. Friendly may be a stretch, 'cause I'm shy and hard to get to know. :(

Red
-powerful
-patriotic
-rebellious
-angry

Oh dear! All shall gaze upon me and despair. :(

River
-peaceful
-flowing
-eternal

And this is what I'm supposed to think about sex? Peaceful? That wasn't what I was aiming for all these years. No wonder my wife didn't think I was enough. :(

Seriously, though, it might give more insight into what I think a sexual *relationship* should be, as opposed to the actual act. :)

Trapped!
-dig
-inspect surroundings
-scrape and dig some more

I almost put: dig, dig, and dig. Obviously, I fear death intensely. :(

My favorite animal: house cat.
- they are friendly, but not clingy.
- they come round to sooth me when I'm stressed or sad.
- they help me feel needed and necessary (who else is going to open the cans?)

My favorite color: purple.
- it's the color of royalty, so subconsciously I let that affect me.
- it's a bright color, so I wear it when I want to be more engaged and garrulous.
- nothing for this

My favorite body of water: lap pool.
- I swam competitively as a child, so being in a lap pool makes me feel 'at home'.
- swimming laps gives me a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction.
- nothing for this

in a room . . .
first I would explore to see what else, other than sustenance, wasn't "an issue."
2nd would depend partly on the size of the room, I suppose. Is there a ceiling? Can I climb over the walls and get out? Far too little known about the room to come to a good conclusion as to what I would do.

If there was no way out:

If I could stand in the center and touch two walls, turn 90 degrees and touch the other two walls, I'd begin to feel claustrophobic, and fairly early on work on yoga and meditation to try to save my sanity.

If it was a fairly large room, and had no other amusements than sustenance, I'd still fairly early on get to yoga and meditation.

31. German shepherd dog
They are beautiful, highly intelligent, loyal, and protective.
Unfortunately they have a lifespan of a little less than ten years.
:-(

Earthtones for casual wear.
And Hawaiian print shirts.
Red for cool weather outer wear.
Jackets, sweaters, etc.
I drive a red car.
Why?
I have no idea.

Maybe I like to blend-in in informal situations.
(wow, 3 'ins' in a row in one sentence)
Camo.
Maybe I want higher visibility in hunting season.
;-)

The Gulf of Mexico, naturally.
That's where I live.
The beaches are like none other in the world, and I've seen a lot of them.
The sand is blindingly white.
Quartz, not coral.
I love the seafood bounty we get from it.
At least we did prior to BP.
:-(
And it brings back fond memories of high school and college spring breaks spent there.
WooHoo!

The last question makes no sense to me.
How did I get into this impenetrable room?
Was it constructed around me?
It would have to be.
Why would I sit there and let myself become entombed?
Answer: I would not be in that room.
Three reasons?
I like people.
Although you say sustenance wouldn't be a problem, I LIKE FOOD!
I like life and visual stimulation.
Even more so as I approach my 70th birthday.

So...what does all this say about me?
Actually, I don't really care.

34. hmmmm....
What is your favorite Animal? - Cat

- Now, give 3 reasons why you like that animal.

You don't have to walk them.
They are soft.
They eat pests.

What is your favorite color? - Dark blue

- Give 3 reasons you like it or how it makes you feel.

It makes me feel calm.
It's not too bright.
It has a lot of different uses.

WHAT is your favorite body of water? (Anything from a puddle to a waterpark to an ocean) - There's this little bay in Lodi, WI where I used to spend summers.

- Now, give up 3 things you like about that body of water.

Good fishing
I could swim all the way to the other side.
Not too much slime

You are in a room. The walls are reinforced concrete. There are no doors or windows. There is no way out. Sustenance is not an issue...

- How do you feel? What do you do? (3 answers please)

How I feel really depends on how big the room is, what the quality of light is, if I'm able to take care of my hygiene - but I guess at first I feel panicky and desperate because I'm separated from my son.

If my son is not a factor, I feel kind of relieved and am pretty much happy to retreat into a fantasy world.

I mostly sleep, meditate and masturbate.

35. OK
1. Cheetah. They are fast. The youngins are adorable. I like cats in general from domestic, to lions and tigers.

2. Green. I had a friend who liked that color. Forest green looks really nice when I thought about it, I used to think I liked red or black as my favorite. I think I feel confident with it, whole house is mostly green. (To be honest, it was really difficult to come up with reasons for this, I just like it I guess)

3. River. It runs through forests mostly and I like forests. Seeing the Colorado River up in the Rockies is a magnificent sight. It is where I had the most fun from tubing to fishing (which I haven't done in years).

4. I would feel crazy, I think I'm claustrophobic. I couldn't last a year in a prison because I love the ability to do what I want when I want. So I'd feel I lack freedom to even look outside. Depressing is another feeling that comes to mind.

In general, these were very difficult to answer so I'm not sure what these mean if anything.

66. So what do my answers mean?
I saw your post up-thread but I'm still not sure what forests or seeing the Colorado River in the Rockies has to do with sex and sensuality.

44. I haven't checked out what this means because I wanted to give
my answers w/o knowing; so here goes:

Favorite Animal - Kitties - my little seven y.o. is an angel. She's so incredibly compassionate; not at all distant. She loves to snuggle and actually comes to me when I call her. In fact, she's on my lap as she usually is when I'm playing on the computer :-)

Favorite Color - Purple. I actually feel this color. I'm uplifted when I wear it. I have on my Purple sweatshirt right now

Favorite Body of Water - The Pacific Ocean - especially Big Sur, CA - W/O question, Big Sur is the most beautiful place I've ever been. Looking out at the Pacific along w/the combination of cliffs is something impossible for me to describe.

The room with no exit - I would immediately reach for my Xanax!

Grassy Depression after a Rainstorm

45. From this, I speculate:
  • You drive a Mercury
  • You moonlight at a drag club in the Castro district under the name "Violet Tendencies"
  • You don't live in the northern U.S.
  • You're a rebel

How'd I do? Nearly psychic, eh?

42. Although you have revealed the meaning of the questions
What is your favorite Animal?

A horse - they are strong, beautiful and graceful. (Things I am not but would like to be.)

What is your favorite color?

Indigo blue - calm, peaceful, and infintely deep (Again, things I am not but would like to be.)

WHAT is your favorite body of water? (Anything from a puddle to a waterpark to an ocean)

A sinkhole - apparently contained but really just a window into mysterious flowing depths; a constant temperature, cool in the summer and warm in the winter; the joy of water with the strength of trees around the clear water. (While writing this, I realized this is how I viewed the manifestations of the Goddess when I was studying Wicca, even though I moved past religion into agnosticism.)

You are in a room. The walls are reinforced concrete. There are no doors or windows. There is no way out. Sustenance is not an issue...

I feel trapped. Smothered. I would never give up finding a way out.

49. Okay...
My favorite animals are dogs because they're smart, great companions, & they make me laugh.

My favorite colors are earth tones because they compliment my coloring, they remind me of my favorite season (Autumn), & they look good on house furnishings.

My favorite body of water is a swimming pool because the water is cool & refreshing, I like the chorine smell, & I like the smell of Coppertone.

In my concrete room, I read my books & magazines, feeling great because I have an excuse not to cook or serve as my family's human object-detector for lost items, etc. I don't have to figure a way out because I know my husband will find a way to get me out when he gets hungry.

Born in 1979...by 20 days. Very glad to have narrowly missed being born in the 1980s.

edit: It smelled plenty bad well into the 1990s.

54. ok....
What is your favorite Animal? Horse. Free, wild, but tame at the same time, and they sleep standing up

What is your favorite color? Pink - reminds me of my little girl, breast cancer awareness, strength

Water? Gregg Lake, Antrim NH. - countless summers as a child, a first kiss, and it freezes in funny shapes.

You are in a room. The walls are reinforced concrete. There are no doors or windows. There is no way out. Sustenance is not an issue...
What do I do? Enjoy the peace and quite and hope this is not permanent....after a while, probably start screaming for help.

What is your favorite Animal? Dog

Usually listen
Accept me no matter how drunk/silly I get or where I end up sleeping
Fun to play with

What is your favorite color? I usually don't pick just one, I like ALL colors equal..but if forced, Blue
- Give 3 reasons you like it or how it makes you feel.

The sky is cool
It comes in many shades
A lot of stuff looks blue to me when others call it green

WHAT is your favorite body of water? (Anything from a puddle to a waterpark to an ocean)
The waters surrounding the Florida Keys
- Now, give up 3 things you like about that body of water.

They can be rough and choppy one way and smooth as glass the other way
All kinds of cool critters to see and interact with
You can see the sunset at night and without driving or anything see the sunrise as you goto bed(or sleep on the beach)

You are in a room. The walls are reinforced concrete. There are no doors or windows. There is no way out. Sustenance is not an issue...
- How do you feel? Stuck

What do you do? (3 answers please)
Look to make sure I'm getting air somehow
Exploit that weakness

59. Haven't read your answer yet so I'll play...
1. Wolf because they are:
- noble
- intelligent
- strong

2. Green because it is:
- earthy
- soothing
- subtle

3. The sea because it is:
- magnificent
- humbling
- fragrant (I love the salty fresh smell)

4. I would probably go insane, but in the meantime:
- write a novel
- become a pushup master
- memorize Shakespeare (do I get any books?)

Now I guess I will have to check out the real answer...

65. Yeah, it's a bit fluffly.
Someone's answers can change depending on the day of the week or if they've had coffee. I've found that it only really gives little hints that can be somewhat novel.

Thanks for playin'!
