I'm watching "Jail" on the SPIKE channel and it's rather interesting.

Far more interesting than "Lockup". These are basically public intoxication cases. This poor deputy in Austin is having a heck of a time with this young girl. Oh boy...

The deputies seem pretty cool, considering what they have to put up with!

2. The one story just broke me up. How the deputy said, "John should be

in a hospital, not here, but the state doesn't have the funding so he comes to jail." :( Many of them seem really compassionate.

3. I don't think it's a job I could do.

One of the deputies said you can't take it personally, even the racial comments.

There seems to be a fair number that have been there before, especially among the homeless.

Some guy just got pepper-sprayed AND tased! I guess they don't have one of those restraint chairs!
